One of the more surreal emails I’ve received came from someone at Vets For Child Rescue (V4CR) — the real organization mentioned in In Veritas.

I included V4CR because I wanted to root the story’s darker themes in something real. Turns out, someone from the actual organization noticed — and reached out to say thanks.

Proof that sometimes fiction ripples beyond the page.
